DOAM NOIR

If we read the picture above, we'll read DOAM NOIR. What's that mean?, try it in google. Ok, that's picture is created by me. For what? I use this picture for remember me about Data Mining chapter Data. It's about Type and Properties Attributes, so I've made it so easy to remember. A little about data mining, type and properties attribute.

The following properties (operations) of numbers are typically used to describe attributes:
  • Distinctness (= and ≠)
  • Order (<, ≤, >, and )
  • Addition (+ and -)
  • Multiplication (* and /)
There are different types of attributes
  • Nominal
    • Examples: ID numbers, eye color, zip codes
  • Ordinal
    • Examples: rankings (e.g., taste of potato chips on a scale from 1-10), grades, height in {tall, medium, short}
  • Interval
    • Examples: calendar dates
  • Ratio
    • Examples: length, time, counts
The type of an attribute depends on which of the following properties it possesses:
  • Nominal attribute: distinctness
  • Ordinal attribute: distinctness & order
  • Interval attribute: distinctness, order & addition
  • Ratio attribute: all 4 properties
So, you can see DOAM NOIR in red words.

*so, what do you think about that picture?
