Black Hen Balinese Story

Now, I am not tell about picture but I'll tell you about story from Bali. The story tells about the hen and the cat. Okay, this a story

On one morning, "Black Hen" (Black Hen) with 4 children looking for food. Today was the day and they have been pretty far from home. In fact, when the sun began leaning to the West, they were across the river. After the afternoon, before they feel full. So Black Hen hinted to their children in order to get home.

On the way home, rain drizzle down. Furthermore, the more dense and finally rains once. Black Hen is not possible to realize through the thick rain with her little puppies. Then he took the child take shelter under a large tree. In order for children not freezing, Black hen protected her children with his wings. After all this time, the rain had not let up. Black Hen began puzzling over how to get home.

At the time of the confusion, there a "Weng Kuuk" (a kind of cat). Black Hen gasp see Kuuk Meng, because Meng Kuuk is the enemy of the chicken. But when Meng Kuuk greeted with a friendly, fright Black Hen ceased.

"Black Hen, you pity the rain here. Come to my house," Meng Kuuk said in sweet and friendly tone.

"Thank you, next time, we'll be home soon," replied Black Hen.

"You and your child - your son may not be able to go home. Besides it was getting dark, the river began to overflow. If you break through, your child will surely drift. Come and spend the night alone in my house. Tomorrow morning you can go home", pleaded "Meng Kuuk" convincing.

Black Hen thought for a moment. He thought, really well said Meng Kuuk, the river began to overflow. Finally, Black Hen decided to stay at home willing Meng Kuuk. Next they went to her home to follow Meng Kuuk located on the edge of the river, not far from there.

Meng Kuuk hear evil plans, the uneasy mix Black hen instantly scared. Since then, She thought hard how to get away from danger. After a moment of thought, She finally got a reason. Then she  woke all the children slowly. Children woke up and frightened. But Black hen enlarged - exaggerated their passion.

"You're the one - by one should get out of here. Meng Kuuk intend to kill us. Catching you up the wall. So fly through the river. Muster all your strength, so you do not fall into the river. Understand?"

"Got it ma'am," replied her son slowly.

Finished receiving the order, start young - Black hen boy climbed the wall. Their courage grew, although many times slip due to slippery and dark. But then, they succeeded. A of them flying through the darkness. Per .... per ...... thump!.

 
Meng Kuuk with her children was shocked and stunned for a moment to hear the voice. Then, from her bed Meng Kuuk asked aloud to Black hen.

"Black hen, what's that sound?"

"It may sound a banana leaf that falls to the ground," replied Black hen calm.

Kuuk Meng believes the explanation Black hen. She was silent again. However, a moment later I heard another voice similar to the voice. Per ... per ... thump!.

"Black hen, what sound is that?", asked Meng Kuuk wonder.

"Maybe there is a broken wooden branch, fell to the ground," replied Black hen convincing.

"Black Shen, what's that sound?"

"Maybe the sound of a frog jumping into the river," replied Black hen fetched.

For the umpteenth time, Meng Kuuk believed. She was silent again. Now four children Black hen was gone. Before she would go, first she finds some rocks. She stone fruit and four stones for children. All the stones were put in place where she slept. Arranged in such a way and covered it with leaves. Black hen hopes eventually that stones will be torn to pieces by Meng Kuuk. When everything goes wrong, then she himself flew across the river that the water flow is very heavy. Per ... per ... thud! Across the river there, Black hen reunited with their children.

Meng Kuuk back startled. Even more surprised than before, because now the voice louder than the last.

"Black hen, what's that sound so loud?"

Sounds nobody answered. Meng Kuuk asked again and asked repeatedly. But still no one answered. Meng Kuuk finally convinced, Black hen with child had been sound asleep. She felt that it was a great party time together. Meng Kuuk also prompted her child, that she himself would ambush parent first.

Meng Kuuk jumping deftly. Boulder had expected Black hen and caught fiercely. What happened? Apparently Meng Kuuk howling in pain. Some of his teeth fell out and a few more broken pieces. The next day, across the river from there Black hen with her kids is singing.

"Ngik, ngak, ngik, ngak, dental stone nyaplok pungak"

So they sang over and over again. The longer sounded farther away and eventually disappear. "Ready Selem" has been far from it. They find food elsewhere. Meng Kuuk be very embarrassed.
