Quick Count of Bali Governor Elections

A number of foreign tourists on vacation in Bali also a witness of Bali Local Government election on Wednesday 15th May 2013. Not only tourism object which attract tourists in Bali, Bali governor's race also seems to have its own appeal. Bali elections followed two candidates are couples Anak Agung Ngurah Puspayoga - Dewa Nyoman Sukrawan (PAS) which carried PDIP and pair Made Mangku Pastika - I Ketut Sudikerta (Pastikerta) the eight political parties including Golkar and Demokrat.

Quick calculation Bali Governor Elections conducted two independent pollsters show different results. Saiful Mujani Research Consulting (SMRC) shows the pair Anak Agung Ngurah Puspayoga-Dewa Nyoman Sukrawan (PAS) thin lead over pair of Made Mangku Pastika - I Ketut Sudikerta sample of 400 polling stations spread across Bali, PAS gained 50.31 percent of the vote, while Pastikerta 49.69 percent of the vote. PAS won in five districts, namely Denpasar, Bangli, Gianyar, Tabanan and Jembrana. While Pastikerta excel in four districts, namely Badung, Klungkung, Karangasem and Buleleng.

Quick count conducted by SMRC using a combination of methods-stratified cluster random sampling. SMRC chose a sample of 400 polling stations with polling sample proportional distribution by district / city. With such samples, estimated tolerance of error of plus minus one percent.

However, a quick count conducted Indonesian Research Center (IRC) is precisely the opposite. In a quick count using a sample of 300 IRC that TPS, Pastikerta ahead of PAS with a very thin margin of only 0.2 percent. Pastikerta 50.01 percent gain votes, while PAS won 49.99 percent of the vote. In Bali's gubernatorial election, only two independent pollsters did a quick count, the SMRC and IRC.

So, until now still can not determine who wins the next Governor of Bali. Because, the acquisition results of different surveys and the results of victory are slim. But whatever the outcome, the Governor should be selected properly carry out their duties well and keeping the whole Bali.
